We transport with a 6-horse Exiss, individual slant stalls, drop down windows, fresh water available for each horse at all times, stop every 2 to 3 hours to rest. I do take these rest stops seriously, as I am an Endurance Rider and know that for every mile that a horse travels in the trailer, it is the same as if the horse were walking the entire distance. They use their muscles and burn the same amount of energy. We lay-over every night on long hauls and if there is a fee, we pass this fee onto the customer. I have never encountered a fee of more than $25 per night, per horse. Often it is less or none at all.

We do not tie their heads because a horse needs to be able to have its head down at least 6 hours each day. This is the natural grazing position which allows them to keep their airways clear. Thus, less chance of getting respiratory infection. We try hard to keep a clean trailer. My sister is a Veterinarian and can get us in contact with the nearest Veterinarian wherever we are on the road. Each horse we transport receives lots of individual attention.
